Baboon is a boot virus that infects the boot sector of floppy disks (Boot) and hard disks (MBR). This virus goes into action on 11th September. Then, it attempts to wipe out the master boot record, thereby rendering the hard drive useless.
This virus incorporates a destructive paylaod that goes into action when the system date stamp matches 11th September. Once the virus has carry out certain previous actions, it goes on to wipe out the Master Boot Record completely. As a result of this, the hard disk will become unuseable.
