Mimail.U is a worm that attempts to join an especific IRC channel in an IRC server and waits for remote control commands to carry out on the affected computer. It also opens the port 7814.
In addition, Mimail.U searches for e-mail addresses in all the files on the affected computer, and stores them in a file that is sent via e-mail to its author.>
Mimail.U is difficult to recognize, as it does not show any messages or warnings that indicate it has reached the computer.
