Melare is a worm that has no destructive effects, which easy to recognize, as it reaches computers in an e-mail message with the subject Alert! SARS is being Spread! and an attached file called SARS_IMAGE.JPG. When it has infected a computer, Melare sends itself out to all the contacts it finds in the Outlook Address Book. Then, in order to go unnoticed, it deletes the messages it has sent from the Sent items folder. |
