Manifest is a Trojan that reaches computers in an setup file for the program XviD MPEG-4 Codec. When this file is run, the Trojan is installed and run on the affected computer.
It is easy to become infected by Manifest, as it reaches computers through many different means: e-mail messages with infected attachments, CD-ROMS, Internet downloads, FTP, floppy disks, etc.
Manifest is difficult to recognize, as it does not display any messages or warnings that indicate that it has infected a computer.
