Mapsy is a backdoor type Trojan that opens the communication port 6754. As a result, it allows a hacker to gain remote access to the resources of the affected computer and to the system in general.
Mapsy does not use any specific mean to spread. It can use any of the means normally used by other viruses: floppy disks, CD-ROMs, e-mail, FTP, etc.
Mapsy is difficult to identify, as it does not display any messages or warnings that indicate that it has infected a computer.
