This information can then be used by a hacker in order to access the account of the affected user.
MSNPassRipper mainly spreads via e-mail, but it can also reach computers through the normal means used by viruses: floppy disks, CD-ROMs, Internet downloads, FTP, etc.
MSNPassRipper displays window that simulates an MSN Messenger window, which prompts the user to enter a user name and password.
