MyLife.E is a worm that spreads through an e-mail message with the subject sexxxyyy Screen Saver and an attached file called SCREEN.SCR.
The message text tricks users into opening the attachment by making them believe that it contains a funny screensaver. However, on doing so, an error message is displayed on screen and the worm is run. It has the following effects:
- It deletes the files in the root directory of the following disk drives: C:, D:, E:, F: and G:.
- It deletes all the files in the directory C:\MY DOCUMENTS and all its subdirectories.
- It deletes all files with a SYS, EXE or INI extension in the Windows directory and all files with a SYS or VXD extension in the Windows system directory.
A clear indication that MyLife.E has reached your computer is a message with the following characteristics:

When MyLife.E has performed all its actions, it displays a window with the title LoOoOoL and the text My Life.C.
