Xthree.A is a macro virus that reaches computers in an infected Word document with a DOC extension. From there, it infects Word’s template (NORMAL.DOT file), thereby infecting every Word file generated with it.
Xthree.A does not have any damaging effects, as its main aims are to spread and disable the Visual Basic Editor. By doing this, the content of the infected macros cannot be viewed.
Xthree.A is difficult to recognize, as it does not display any messages or warnings that indicate that it has infected a computer.
