Stealth.Boot is a boot virus that infects the boot sector of floppy disks and the Master Boot Record of hard disks.
The virus infects the computer when the computer is booted from an infected floppy disk.
Stealth.Boot uses stealth techniques in order to make it difficult for the user to detect its presence. In addition, when Stealth.Boot has infected the MBR, it goes memory resident in order to infect the floppy disks used in the infected computer that are not write-protected.
Stealth.Boot is difficult to recognize, as it does not display any messages or warnings that indicate that it has infected a computer.
