Ethan is a worm that has no destructive effects and whose main aim is to infect other computers.
Ethan is the file that most of the variants of the Ethan macro virus, for example: W97M/Ethan.A, use in their infection process.
It is easy to be infected by Ethan as it reaches computers through many different means: e-mail messages with infected attachments, computer networks, CD-ROMs, Internet downloads, FTP, floppy disks, etc.
Ethan is difficult to identify, as it does not display any messages or warnings that indicate that it has infected a computer.
