Asylum is a backdoor type Trojan whose main objective is to connect to a web page and, from there, send information to other computers.
It is easy to be infected by Asylum as it reaches computers through many means: e-mail messages with infected attachments, computer networks, CD-ROMs, Internet downloads, FTP, floppy disks, etc.
Asylum is difficult to identify, as it does not display any messages or warnings that indicate that it has infected a computer.
However, after infection has been carried out, the Trojan displays a program for continually pinging IP addresses.
