AOLPS.J is a password stealer Trojan. Its aim is to find the user name and password of the user of the affected computer for the instant messaging service America On Line (AOL). When it finds this data, it saves it in a file, which is then sent via e-mail to the following addresses:
AOLPS.J uses various means to spread: floppy disks, e-mail message with infected attachments, Internet downloads, FTP, etc.
AOLPS.J is difficult to identify, as it does not display any messages or warnings that indicate that it has reached a computer.
