MyPics is a worm that reaches computers in a file attached to an e-mail message. The file that carries out the infection will be one of the following: PICS4YOU.EXE, ICQ.EXE, ICQ_GREETINGS.EXE or PASSION.EXE.
MyPics activates when the system date is January 1st, 2000 and it tries to make users think that its actions are a result of the year 2000 effect (2YK). When it has carried out its infection, it sends itself out to the 50 first contacts in the Outlook Address Book.
MyPics is a dangerous virus, as, among other effects, it modifies the BIOS and deletes all the files on the hard drives.
MyPics is easy to identify, as it reaches computers in an e-mail message with one of the following attachments: PICS4YOU.EXE, ICQ.EXE, ICQ_GREETINGS.EXE or PASSION.EXE.
