Appder is a macro virus that tries to delete files with an EXE, COM, TTF and FOT extension from the hard disk, once it has infected 20 Word documents.
In addition, it infects files created with Word 97 and the global template that Word uses.
It is easy to become infected by Appder, as it can reach computers through any of the means normally used by viruses: e-mail messages with infected attachments, computer networks, CD-ROMs, Internet downloads, FTP, diskettes, etc.
Appder is very difficult to recognize, as it does not display any messages or warnings that indicate that it has infected a computer.
