P2PShared.P is a worm whose main objective is to steal passwords from all type of programs, applications, email services that could be stored in the affected computer.
P2PShared.P uses different means to spread:
- via peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing programs. In order to do so, it creates copies of itself in the shared directories belonging to several P2P programs.
- making copies of itself in the removable devices that are connected to the computer.
P2PShared.P is difficult to recognize, as it does not display any messages or warnings that indicate it has reached the computer.
