V6000 is an encrypted MS-DOS virus that infects executable files with a COM or EXE extension by adding its code to the end of these files.
In addition, V6000 deletes the settings menu in the affected computer. By doing this, the user’s customized settings are replaced by the original setting.
V6000 is difficult to identify, as it does not display any messages or warnings that indicate that it has reached a computer.
