FakeGoogleBar.M is a Trojan that gathers information about the users' Internet habits and movements, such as the search words entered in certain searchers, probably in order to send advertisements or messages to them taking into account the searches they make or to obtain statistics about users' interests and habits. This information can be sent to third parties.
Additionally, it obtains information from the computer, such as the IP address and it sends it to a certain server.
FakeGoogleBar.M does not spread automatically using its own means. It needs an attacking user's intervention in order to reach the affected computer.
FakeGoogleBar.M is difficult to recognize, as it does not display any messages or warnings that indicate it has reached the computer.>
