CST is a boot virus that does not have any destructive effects, which infects the boot sector of hard disks (Master Boot Record or MBR) and floppy disks (Boot)
CST goes resident in order to infect the MBR of hard disks of the infected computer and the Boot sector of the floppy disks used.
Once the computer is infected, CST infects all floppy disks used on the computer, provided that they are not write-protected.
The only way a computer can be infected by this virus is if it is booted from an infected floppy disk.
The only indication that CST has infected a computer is that it has problems starting up.
