MS07-048 is not categorized as virus, worm, Trojan or backdoor. It is a group of important vulnerabilities in gadgets in Windows Vista/Vista x64 Edition, which allows arbitrary code to be remotely executed in the vulnerable computer.
Gadgets are mini-applications designed to provide the user with information or utilities. Windows Vista treats gadgets similar to the way Windows Vista treats all executable code.

- Windows Vista Contacts Gadget Could Allow Code Execution.
- Windows Vista Weather Gadget Could Allow Remote Code Execution.
