Grogotix.A is a worm that prevent users and installed programs from accessing certain websites, which belong to several antivirus companies, among others.
Additionally, it disables the following functions, among others:
- Find of the Start menu.
- Folder options of the Start menu.
- the menu of recent documents of the Start menu.
- the context menu, that is, the menu that is accessed when right-clicking the mouse.
Grogotix.A spreads via IRC. In order to do so, it connects to certain servers and sends messages that contain a link to the users that are connected at that moment.
Grogotix.A is easy to recognize, as it reaches the computer in a file that has the icon of a folder and when it is run, the My Documents folder is opened:
