Leandro is a resident Boot virus that infects the boot sector of hard disks (MBR -
Master Boot Record) and floppy disks (BOOT). To infect the MBR of a hard disk the
computer must be booted from an infected floppy disk. There is no other way for
this virus to carry out an infection. Once the MBR has been infected, the virus goes
memory resident and infects all the floppy disks that are accessed by the machine,
providing they are not write-protected.
