Dehineer.A is a Trojan that prevents certain applications from being run, such as Internet Explorer, the Windows Explorer and several monitoring programs. Additionally, it increases the CPU performance up to 100%. As a consequence, the computer would stop working properly.
However, there is an error in the file created by the Trojan in the system, which prevents Dehineer.A from being activated and carrying out its actions when the computer is restarted.
Dehineer.A does not spread automatically using its own means. It needs an attacking user's intervention in order to reach the affected computer. The means of transmission used include, among others, floppy disks, CD-ROMs, email messages with attached files, Internet downloads, FTP, IRC channels, peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing networks, etc.
