Thus.X is a macro virus that activates on March 11th, displaying a window with the text Happy birthday on the screen. It usually reaches systems in an infected Word 97 or Word 2000 document.
Thus.X has the following very damaging effects:
- It deletes every system file in the root directory of the hard disk.
- It deletes the content of every document that is open when infection is carried out.
A clear indication that virus has infected your computer is the following window displayed on March 11th:
