Satan Bug is an MS DOS virus that does not have any destructive effects. After carrying out its infection, it goes memory resident and infects executable files that meet several conditions. In fact, it only infects:
- Files with an EXE extension that are 1204 bytes in size.
- Files with a COM extension that are 60,016 bytes in size.
Satan Bug does not carry out any destructive actions. Its only effect is that it increases the size of infected files by 4 or 5 bytes.
Satan Bug is difficult to identify, as it does not display any warnings or messages that indicate that it has infected a computer.
