The Global ThreatWatch.

A device created by Panda Security which scientifically calculates the current threat status of any region on the planet in real-time.

In the same way that a thermometer can measure the temperature at a specific place at a specific time, the Global ThreatWatch measures the probability that a computer will be hit by a threat at a specific place and time.

It functions in a similar way as weather reports or the flags at the beach when there are dangerous currents. It is an indicator of the threat 'climate' complete with a database that provides adequate preventive measures for users.

A color and percentages- coded map that indicates the increase or decrease in the spread of viruses in each country, continent or across the world.

How does Panda Security´s global malware observatory works?

This network of sensors, is formed by the thousands of users all over the world who use Panda Security antivirus to protect their computers.

Automatically and with users' consent, the results of scans are transmitted to a central processing station for the observatory, where an automated system then processes this immense volume of information, providing the following data:
