HatFiend.10 is a backdoor type Trojan, which allows hackers to gain remote access to other computers, in order to carry out actions that can compromise user confidentiality and impede the tasks performed on the computer.
The actions of this Trojan are very dangerous. Among them, the following can be highlighted: log keystrokes, totally control the hard drives, disable the shortcut keys CTRL + ALT + Del, etc.
This Trojan consists of four modules: a server program, a client program, a test program and an editor program.
HatFiend.10 is easy to recognize, as it displays a fake error message on screen, in order to trick the user into thinking that the program has failed:
This error message could be different, as the hacker can modify it using the editor program.
If the CD-ROM tray opens and closes without user intervention, or the Windows Start button hides and shows at random, HatFiend.10 may have affected your computer.
