NOTIFICATION:
This issue has been fixed through a knowledge update deployed on June 20, 2023, so it is no longer necessary to apply any of the workarounds. If you had already disabled the anti-exploit protection prior to this date, we recommend that you re-enable it again.

Symptoms
On Windows 11 computers, Google Chrome does not open after installing Microsoft KB5027119 and KB5027231 patches. This issue has been detected on computers with either the Panda Endpoint Security anti-exploit protection enabled or without Google Chrome set as default browser.
Workaround
We are working on a solution. For now, you can apply either of these workarounds:
- Workaround 1 (Recommended): Set Google Chrome as default browser
- From the affected computer, open Google Chrome.
- Click on the three vertical dots in the upper right corner.
- Select Settings.
- Tap on Default Browser and select Chrome.
- Workaround 2: Create a new settings profile with the anti-exploit protection disabled
- From the Aether administration console, select the Settings tab and click Add.
- Select the Workstations and servers from the left pane.
- Expand the Advanced protection section and disable Anti-exploit protection.
- Save the settings and add the recipients or computers you want to apply this profile to.
NOTE: We recommend that you postpone the installation of Microsoft KB5027119 and KB5027231 security patches until a solution to this issue is available. We will update this article when the issue is resolved. See the Issue Status section for updates.
