Symptoms

The administrator noticed that a URL rule that used to (successfully) block an end user’s access to a certain web site stopped working. In fact, this issue applies for any rule applied to end users.

Solution

The administrator forgot that he temporarily disabled User Authentication for the week he was on vacation. With authentication disabled, PCIP cannot enforce user- and group-level rules. Once authentication was re-enabled, all his rules began working immediately.
