BuddyLinks is an adware type program, which offers users an application in exchange for viewing a series of advertisements.

BuddyLinks reaches the computer when the user accesses the web pages www.wgutv.com or download.buddylinks.net and accepts to install an ActiveX control.

BuddyLinks sends a link to the web pages mentioned above to all the contacts of AOL Instant Messenger and displays a flash game, in which the user assumes the role of Saddam Hussein; at the end, it appears Osama Bin Laden.
