MyLife.F is a worm that spreads through an e-mail message with the subject the list and an attached file called LIST480.TXT.SCR.
The message text tricks users into opening the attachment by making them believe that it contains a funny text. However, on doing so, instead of displaying a text, the worm displays an error message and carries out destructive actions:
- It deletes the content of the disk drives D:, E:, F:, G:, H: and I:.
- It deletes the files and directories in the C: drive that are not in use at the time.
A clear indication that MyLife.F has reached your computer is a message with the following characteristics:
