MS07-018 is not categorized as virus, worm, Trojan or backdoor. It is a group of critical vulnerabilities in several versions of Content Management Server (CMS). These vulnerabilities allow remote code execution and cross-site scripting attacks to be carried out.
The affected versions of CMS are:
- Microsoft Content Management Server 2001 Service Pack 1.
- Microsoft Content Management Server 2002 Service Pack 2.
This vulnerability is usually exploited by creating a specially crafted URL and sending an HTTP GET request to a vulnerable computer.
