Freechan.A is a macro virus that uses e-mail messages to reach other computers. The subject of this message tries to dupe users into running the attachment making them believe it is just the sender’s CV.
Once the attachment is run, Freechan.A does not cause any destructive effects. Its only effect consists of displaying a text on screen at start-up, indicating that the system is infected.
The main symptom that indicates the presence of Freechan.A is an e-mail message with the subject Curriculum Vitae.
