Symptoms
You are about to update your Mac OS X but you do not know if you need to quit Panda Antivirus for Mac before updating.
Solution
Some elements of Mac OS X can be updated without the need to restart your Mac. If so, you will not need to quit Panda Antivirus for Mac.
For other updates, such as full operating system updates, Software Update will quit all your applications and restart your Mac once the new software has been installed.
So it is not necessary to quit your Panda Antivirus for MAC separately.
