Daily updates
The communications agent installed on computers with Endpoint Protection for OS X checks for updates of the signature file every hour.
If there is an update, the file will update automatically on every computer without user intervention.
Version upgrades
The protection engine can only be upgraded from the PCOP administration console. The upgrade process is not automatic, that is, whenever there is a new version of PCOP for OS X available, the network administrator must download the new version's installer from the console and run it. This will upgrade the required files.
