How to create exclusions for third-party security solutions to coexist with Adaptive Defense

Information applies to:

Products
Panda Adaptive Defense
Panda Adaptive Defense on Aether Platform

Attention!

The instructions indicated in this article apply to the traditional management platform. If your query refers to a product based on Aether Platform, please access the article on the Creating exclusions for products based on Aether Platform, or else, check the Knowledge Base, where you will find answers to frequently asked questions.

If you still haven't switched to Aether, please contact your sales representative or reseller and request the platform migration.

Adaptive Defense blocks the execution of applications that, due to their behavior or nature, are not considered secure applications or goodware and is fully compatible with third-party antivirus vendors.

However, under certain circumstances, third-party security solutions may erroneously detect some Adaptive Defense files or directories as suspicious and/or send them to quarantine.

To avoid this type of inconsistencies and make it possible for other antivirus programs and Adaptive Defense to coexist, all you need to do is to exclude certain Adaptive Defense directories from your antivirus detection.

Adaptive Defense directories to exclude from your antivirus detection

  • %programfiles%\Panda Security
  • %programfiles(x86)%\Panda Security
  • %allusersprofile%\Panda Security
