Error 0006:1006 when trying to activate my Panda Gold Protection 2014 purchased as a renewal box

After installing a renewal box of Panda Gold Protection, whenever you open the antivirus you are requested to activate the product.

Once you enter the Activation Code and click Next, the following window is displayed:

After entering your client number and selecting your country, error code 0006:1004 is returned.

Cause of the error

Error 0006:0106 is returned when no client number is specified during the activation process, despite the fact that the client number field is, as stated in the activation screen, optional.

The reason for this is that in very specific cases, for example, Panda Gold Protection renewal boxes, the client number field must be filled-in for the activation to work.


  1. Open your antivirus.
  2. When the activation wizard is displayed, enter your activation code and click Next.

  3. In the next window, type in your customer number.

  4. Select your country from the drop-down list.
  5. Click Next and continue the rest of the process.

After completing these steps, the activation process will finish successfully.
