Brief Description 

    

Maldal.C is a worm thatreaches computers in a file called CHRISTMAS.EXE attached to an e-mail message with the subject Happy New Year.

It very easy to become infected with this worm, as it tries to pass itself of as a harmless Christmas greeting.

Maldal.C is a dangerous worm as it causes the following effects: it displays a Flash animation on the screen, changes Internet Explorer’s home page. Modifies the name of the affected computer and locks the keyboard.

Furthermore, in computers with the NT operating system, it is particularly destructive as it uses up the available memory.
