Brief Description 


Verona.B is a worm that arrives in an e-mail message including the following attachments: XROMEO.EXE and XJULIET.CHM.

It is easy to get infected with this worm, as it activates automatically upon viewing the e-mail through Outlook's Preview pane.

Verona.B causes computers to crash and it prevents the execution of files with the following extensions: EXE, JPG, JPEG, JPE, BMP, GIF, AVI, MPG, MPEG, WMF, WMA, WMV, MP3, MP2, VQF, DOC, XLS, ZIP, RAR, LHA, ARJ and REG.

Verona.B spreads extremely rapidly, by sending itself out to all the contacts found in the Address Book.

Visible Symptoms 


The main indication that you have received Verona.B, is an e-mail message with the files XROMEO.EXE and XJULIET.CHM.
