Mikel Urizarbarrena is the founder of Panda and the Honorary President. His intuition, vision of the market and sheer hard work have been fundamental in making Panda Spain's leading software company and bringing it to a position where it now disputes global leadership of technological innovation with the major players in the IT security sector. .

The project he set up seventeen years ago is today a textbook case studied in business schools worldwide. Panda is now present in more than 50 countries through its network of subsidiaries and franchises and its consumer and corporate security solutions are sold in more than 200 countries.

Mikel Urizarbarrena graduated as an Engineer specialized in mechanical engineering from the Polytechnic University of Mondragón (Basque Country).

Kevin has 24 years' operating experience in the technology sector, including a total of 13 years operational experience in Paris, London and Dublin as an executive in the software industry and five years in Silicon Valley. Kevin served as Vice President, Microsoft EMEA and helped grow the regional business from $500 million in 1991 to $9.5 billion in 2004. At Microsoft, Kevin was a member of Microsoft EMEAs' senior management team responsible for various roles in Finance, Operations and Sales and Marketing. He supported and was jointly responsible for the formation of many new subsidiaries, functions and lines of business. This included working with local management in establishing financial, operational and customer functions in more than 20 subsidiaries.

Kevin established the European Operations Centre in Dublin, hiring up to 700 people and serving all of Microsoft’s customers in Europe, Africa and the Middle East while becoming one of Ireland's top revenue generating companies. He was also responsible for building the operational infrastructure for the successful launch of Xbox as a new product and line of business within Europe. He led Microsoft's EMEA customer care, customer satisfaction, loyalty and related programs.

From 1985 through 1991, Kevin was an international tax advisor at Price Waterhouse (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) in Europe, the U.S. and South Africa. In that capacity, he helped structure international growth, acquisitions and income repatriation planning for many leading technology companies in Silicon Valley. Prior to 1985, Kevin practiced law in South Africa, including serving as a Legal Officer in the South African Navy. He is a frequent industry speaker and was ICT Ireland Industry Person of the Year in 2001 and elected a fellow of the Irish Management Institute in 2000. He holds various degrees in Business, Finance, Taxation & Law and is an Attorney at Law, Certified Public Accountant and Certified Investment Manager.

Kevin is a director on the boards of Panda SL (where he is Chairman), PolarLake Ltd, Envivio Inc and GeoVector Inc. and sits as an observer on the boards of Acision BV and Conenza Inc.

Juan Santana has a strong track record in the business and finance world. Before joining Panda Security, he was Executive Manager of Telecommunications and IT Equipment at Lehman brothers, based in London from 1999-2003, and in Madrid, from 2003-2006. Prior to that, he held an executive post in the London-based company Robertson Stephens and was a executive at Vasconia bank, Spain.

Juan Santana graduated in Law from the University of Navarre and holds an MBA from the IESE in Barcelona.

He started his career in 1989. Since then, he has held several management positions at different technology solutions companies, including: Olivetti, Abengoa and AOL Spain, until he joined Panda in 2003. After holding several management positions in the company, he was designated Chief Solutions Development Officer in 2005. His duties include defining, developing and certifying Panda's IT security solutions.

Alfonso Fernandez holds a degree in Physical Science specialized in Automation from the University of the Basque Country.

Ana Etxebarria has been working in Panda Security for more than 10 years. During this time she has held several management positions, including Treasury Division Manager (4 years) and Product Division Manager (2004-2006). She has been the Director Tech Support for the Panda Group since 2006. Her duties include the coordination of international technicians, whose main objective is to provide quick and efficient solutions to our customers.

Ana Etxebarria has a Degree in English Language and Literature from Deusto University (Bilbao).

Enrique Aguilera is the Online Business Director and is in charge of the Panda Security website. He is one of the most recent additions to Panda Security's management team. Born in Catalonia he has lived in the Basque Country for over 10 years, and has extensive experience in the online business sector.

Enrique witnessed the birth of the Internet as a platform for e-commerce in 1994, as he was finishing his university studies in the USA. Consequently, he became a leading light in the sector and took part in important projects such as the Internet Ozu portal and the Vueling airline, which currently sells 80% of its tickets online.

Enrique Aguilera obtained a bachelor’s degree in Computer Aviation Science in Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Florida (1996).

His interest in IT security arose in 1988, designing and developing the first antivirus products for AmigaDos operating systems. In 1990, he founded the IT company Bitmap Multimedia, dedicated to developing medical software. In 1996, he joined Panda, working in software analysis and programming. He later managed software development teams until 1998, when he took charge of the R&D Division. In 2002, he became Chief Technology Officer at Panda, managing the research and innovation area, known as Panda Research.

Iñaki Urzay holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Deusto, Bilbao.

Josu Franco graduated in Economic and Judicial law at the University of Deusto, and holds an MSBA (Master of Science in Business Administration) from Illinois University.

He joined Panda in September 1999 and since that time has held a number of posts related with international corporate expansion, technology partnership management, and relations with industry analysts. He is currently the Corporate Customer Unit Director

Previously, Josu Franco worked in the commercial office of the Spanish Embassy in Ottawa, Canada.

M. Arantza de la Llosa joined Panda Security in May 2005 and worked as Deputy Director of the Solutions and Services Development area until July 2007, when she was appointed CIO of the company. Her experience in executive positions in the Information and Communications Technologies sector goes back to 1998. Prior to working for Panda, she was IT Systems Subdirector reporting directly to the Director of Operations at the Red.es public company, IT Systems Director at AOL Spain and Director of the Oracle Technology Center at Tecsidel.

M. Arantza de la Llosa has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and holds a Master’s Degree in Software Engineering from the Deusto University (Spain). She also has a Postgraduate Degree in Human Resource Management from the Polytechnic University of Madrid.

Paula Quirós is Marketing Director at Panda Security. She joined the company four years ago as OEM Business Manager, having worked in several companies in the technology sector. One year later she took over as head of the Corporate Business Unit, and in 2005 she was appointed Corporate Marketing Director, with responsibility for the initial phases of product creation and generation as well as execution of marketing campaigns.

In 2007 she became the company’s Marketing Director, spearheading the definition and deployment of all Panda Security products worldwide, and overseeing all marketing and campaign activity.

Paula Quiros holds a degree in Law from the University of Oviedo (Spain 1998).

Pedro Bustamente studied at the University of Southern California (Los Angeles, United States).

In 1993 he opened his first company in the USA in the field of new technologies, VGS NetMedia, where he developed a graphic client/server platform with its own TCP/IP protocol.

In 1995 he opened Buyit.com, a portal for companies wanting to do business over the Internet, which was listed on the NASDAQ Stock Exchange.

In 1997 he was named General Mnager of Panda USA, developing projects such as the protection of Boeing’s email system worldwide. In 2000, Pedro Bustamante moved to Panda HQ in Spain, where he has participated in defining Panda Security products for the consumer and corporate markets.

In 2006 Pedro Bustamante was appointed Senior Research Advisor at Panda Security, developing joint projects between PandaLabs and PandaResearch. He also participates in forums and technical presentations all over the world.

With long experience in financing and budgeting positions, Juan Andrés García has a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics by the Autonomous University of Madrid (Spain). He was Media Director at Cofares from 2006, Finance Director at Grupo Empresarial Ence and Corporate Finance Director at the Prosegur security services company (2000-2005).

He ha also spent 8 years in the investment banking sector, as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer at Warburg Dillon Read (UBS) for Spain and Portugal, where he acted as financial, tax and legal advisor until 1999 for the various units in the group, as well as evaluated new initiatives and projects, among other responsibilities.

In 2009, he joined Panda Security as CFO.

Yolanda has worked in the media since 1986. She consolidated her experience as a journalist on joining Radio España, Cadena Iberica (a Spanish radio channel) in 1989. In 1997 she moved into corporate communication, as director of communication in Grupo Parques Reunidos. In 2001, she joined Panda Security, initially managing local communication in Spain, and then international communication and promotion.

Yolanda has a Master’s degree in Journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid; a Master’s degree in New Information and Communication Technologies from the UNED (Spanish Open University) and an MBA from the ESERP Business School.
