Operation:Payback broadens to "Operation Avenge Assange"

==> Get up to the minute attack updates here <==

The organizers behind the anonymous group responsible for Operation:Payback are in the midst of refocusing their campaign to assist WikiLeaks in their quest to release classified government documents.

The following statement was made available on their website late Sunday afternoon:

Wikileaks have been down because of Distributed-Denial-of-Service attacks (DDoS). There are reasons to believe that The United States Of America are behind this since due to the nature of the leak on Sunday 28th November 2010, where over 251000 documents (US diplomatic cables) were published on WikiLeaks.

What is this all about? And what does it have to do with censorship and Operation Payback?

While we don’t have much of an affiliation with WikiLeaks, we fight for the same reasons. We want transparency and we counter censorship. The attempts to silence WikiLeaks are long strides closer to a world where we can not say what we think and are unable to express our opinions and ideas.

We can not let this happen. This is why our intention is to find out who is responsible for this failed attempt at censorship. This is why we intend to utilize our resources to raise awareness, attack those against and support those who are helping lead our world to freedom and democracy.

It goes on to quote Congressman Ron Paul,

“In a free society, we are supposed to know the truth. In a society where truth becomes treason, we are in big trouble.”
Ron Paul

According to the statement, the group plans to:

  • Offer WikiLeaks an additional mirror and have it Googlebombed.
  • Create counter-propaganda, organizing attacks (DDoS) on various targets related to censorship (time, date and target will be published by that time).
  • Contact media entities, inform them that Operation:Payback has come out in support of Wikileaks, and has declared war on the entities involved in censoring there information; we will seek public support in a campaign against censorship.
  • We will find and will attack those who stand against Wikileaks and we will support WikiLeaks in everything they need.

Meanwhile, the following poster announcing “Operation Avenge Assange” has been circulating on the Internet:

The first attack was aimed squarely at PayPal for refusing to support donations to WikiLeaks.  The DDoS attack against ThePayPalblog.com lasted for 8 hours (not including the time where the website resolved to a 403 error) and caused the blog to experience 75 service interruptions.

An Operation:Payback organizer had this to say about the new WikiLeaks initiative:

“The overall campaign is broadening focus, but that does not mean that our original initiatives have halted.  Operation:Payback is still in full effect”

This is evident by our latest DDoS statistics on Operation:Payback’s last known target, IFPI.org.  IFPI has experienced over 6 days and 160 service interruptions since the DDoS attack against the site started on 11/25.  The site goes up and down periodically, but has only recently been up for 1 hour.

It’s still unclear as to who the next target will be, but we will keep a close eye on the situation and report on any new developments.

    I support your quest!
But attacking ThePayPalBlog was beyond silly. What do they have to do with it? If we are going to attack them, then let’s attack the PayPal service itself.

This is my comment on what is happening to Julian Assange and my fear for him.
I am a white, Anglo Saxon Englishman. I was brought up in a very deprived part of the UK. My parents were working people, a coal miner and a factory worker. They had three sons, one a footballer, one a rescue services worker and one a managing director of a very large multinational company. Never once, in a very “down town” area did a policeman knock on our door. All that is because of the respect for others instils in us by my wonderful parents.
My friends from age five to today included Indian, Pakistani, Iranian, Canadian, South African, American, Spanish, French and Afro Caribbean. I love England, I love my people; however, I now live in another country. I left because I could no longer live in a country where the government, (Labour, Liberal or Conservative), subjugates, deceives, propeganderises and lies to it’s people. The British Government ”Kow Tows” relentlessly to the USA turning what was once a FREE country where everyone had the right to freedom of speech, into a country with more laws to suppress the people it purports to represent than the Soviet Union ever had.
Julian Assange has done nothing more than give, to the people who elected their representatives, the truth about the character of these people. He has exposed what we all should know anyway. Surely it is our right to know if our representatives are abusing the trust we put in them.
For those that do not receive the “News” they should receive in their own countries, which , believe it or not, has not been reported on the BBC, assange has had, his business attacked by direct electronic cyber attacks, PayPal, Amazon, and many others have been threatened into financially blacklisting Wiki leaks, and the Swiss, have FROZEN assanges personal accounts!!!!!!!!!!!! When has a SWISS BANK ACCOUNT been so easily obtainable?
Personally I use Amazon and PayPal all the time. B UT now I will never use Amazon or PAYPAL again. Christmas is nearly here; I would have bought from Amazon and used PayPal to pay for those transactions. These companies gave in to the attack on Free speech too fast.
Wiki leaks has exposed many, many misuses of authority, I cannot list them all but if out 250,000 bits of information, only one of those gives us, the people, the truth about our elected representatives, then that is surely something our own governments, which we elected, should have done anyway.
Just some of the wiki leaks items are:-
The British Government ensuring the American Government, that no embarrassing information (to them) will be published. ……I think this was before the official investigation for the public was even commenced.
Convicted Lockerbie bomber, (still alive today), being freed because of serious threats to British business.
The “Fat Cat” Saudis backing a plan to destroy Hezbollah and wanting the US and its allies to attack Iran.
The Obama/Clinton Government condoning the spying on foreign diplomats including actively ordering the capture of emails, internet passwords and personal mail.
The Chinese government being willing to work to a reunification of N + S Korea to the benefit of all the Korean peoples and hopefully the end of the subjection of the North Koreans by a dictator.
The USA Government condoning and procuring torture outside of it’s own national boundaries, to ensure it could not be prosecuted under war crimes and laws on international human rights.
If you have stayed with me for the whole of this, then I thank you.

You dumbass dolts are as mindless and worthless as they come. Unbelievable. You ought to at least learn basic definitions of simple words before going around spewing all your mindless shit. Fir starters, look up the word “illegal”. That’ll get you started. You worthless fucks. If each and every one of you worthl3ss pieces of 5hit were stainding right in front of me in a nice straight line, I’d cap every single one of you pieces of shit in the cranuim with a 25 calubur high explosive round. And not even have the slightest problem sleeping at night afterwards. You are the scurge of the earth, as your ineptitude and lack of basic understanding of right and wrong and the basics of life in general threatens the lives and liberty of the entire planet. You need to be dead and gone in a flash so that the rest of us can quit wasting any more energy on your wor7hless asses and get to work on the REAL problems facing this world. Fuck you. I hope I get the opportunity to blow one of you worthless fucks away in my lifetime, because I will jump at the chance… and you won’t even know that you’ve been liquidated. Just like a cockroach run over by a skateboard wheel at high speed.

This movement is Bigger than Assange. It’s a combination of Alex Jones, Matt Drudge, Jesse Ventura, Ron Paul movement , and a ton of other freedom motivated groups. This thing is much bigger than anyone thinks.

We are under direct assault from many establishment politicians and their mouthpieces in the mainstream media. Censorship of Jesse Ventura’s Police State Conspiracy Theory episode was the last straw for me. The wholesale attack by the government taking down websites and blocking free speech shall not stand. For this reason, I totally support our self defense.

The low level counter attacks by anon should be considered the warning shots to the government to back off. Let the truth be heard or suffer the consequences. If the government thinks this is the best we can do, think again.

No, we are not going to launch nukes or mess up a power plant, as those facilities function on totally separate networks not accessible by anyone, nor would we want to, but rather, the most embarrassing things will be released against the worst vermin running our government.

Ultimately, we will crash the entire world markets, separating the man from our money. We will rebuild the world to our likeness according to the US Constitution with its strict criteria.

    seems to be a site

    that is promoting ‘anti-payback’

Surely it’s not very wise to publicly promote DoS attacking..

Yes, it is a site promoting “anti-payback” if that’s the phrase you’d like to use. No, it wasn’t wise. But I’ve corrected it, I think and hope.

I’ve been up the last two evenings breathing and resonating with a new universal sense of individual freedom. This is all thanks to WikiLeaks and an intriguing diplomatic cable regarding the 1990 release of Nelson Mandela.

I’ve been inspired and I simply ask for fellow forward-thinking enthusiasts to reply back and start a discussion with me. The discussion topic: I propose a new artistic platform in which my fellow, youthful brethren may join their voice with the collective voice. As WE, Mankind as a whole, start our ascent into the Age of Aquarius, we must strengthen this collective voice; give it a new validity and re-invigorate the substance and heart behind Our Brave New World.

I am an artist with a receptive eye. I’m a jazz pianist, writer/poet, filmmaker, and a storyteller. I’m a true artist and so are you. Let’s confront this new flat world with an unflinching, all-defying energy and vigor as we stare into the vacuum of it’s eyes and create new meaning.

You all Inspire me, and I know I’ll Inspire you…it’s now a perpetual groove and I hope to collaborate with you all soon.
