Automatic updates are always carried out across the Internet. If you want to update automatically, make sure that the automatic updates are enabled (they are by default):
In the Status area, click the date the program was last updated. This opens the Configure updates window.
Click the Configure updates link.
Make sure the Enable automatic updates checkbox is selected.
Make sure the Internet option is selected.
Click OK.
will update automatically if these options are selected, provided you have activated the product.
Note: You can also access the Configure updates window by right-clicking the product icon in the Windows notification area -next to the system clock- and selecting Update. In the window that appears, click Configure updates.
Note: The product will also update automatically during the five-day grace period that follows product installation, provided you have an Internet connection.
Every time that is updated, you will see a pop-up message. If you do not want this message to appear, follow these steps:
In the Status area, click the date the program was last updated. This opens the Configure updates window.
Click the Configure updates link.
Make sure the Enable automatic updates checkbox is selected.
Clear the option Notify me when updating automatically.
Click OK.
Follow these steps and enable the Notify me when updating automatically option if you want the product to show update notifications.
If you connect to the Internet using a proxy server, enter your proxy server details. Follow these steps:
In the Status area, click the date the program was last updated. This opens the Configure updates window.
Click the Configure updates link.
Make sure the Internet option is selected.
Click Proxy settings.
Select Access via a proxy server and indicate the name or IP address of the server and the port used.
If the proxy server requires you to enter a user name and password, enter these details in the relevant section.
Click OK.
Important note: You must follow these instructions only if you connect to the Internet using a proxy server. For more information, refer to the How can I know if my Internet connection is through a proxy server? section.
