How to update from a CD/DVD or from a path on the local network

 

Although normally updates automatically from the Internet, in some exceptional situations you may want to update from a CD or DVD, or from a location on the local network.

 

To configure these updates, follow the steps below:

  1. In the Status area, click the date the program was last updated. This opens the Configure updates window.

    2. nota_shg.gif Note: You can also access the Configure updates window by right-clicking the product icon in the Windows notification area -next to the system clock- and selecting Update. In the window that appears, click Configure updates.

  1. Select CD ROM or Local network.

  2. Click the icon and find the drive or path from which you want to update.

  3. Once the updates are complete, click OK.
