Identity protection will protect you against the increasing amount of Internet fraud attacks: theft of confidential information (passwords, credit card numbers, etc.), fraudulent Web pages, and redirection of dial-up connections to premium-rate numbers.
Follow these steps to enable this protection:
Click Identity protection in the main window of the program.
To enable the identity protection, set the control to the ON position. To disable it, set it to OFF.
The following options can be configured in this window:
This feature will prevent your confidential information (passwords, credit card numbers, etc.) from leaving your computer without your prior consent. You can specify which information you want to protect. This means that if detects that confidential information is being sent without your authorization, it will display a pop-up message asking for your confirmation.
If you enable this option, will detect and neutralize Web pages used for fraud.
This option is useful if you use a modem to connect to the Internet. If you enable this option, the program will block calls to unauthorized numbers and display a warning.
