Panda Security, a leading European multinational in advanced cybersecurity solutions and services, announced that it has been positioned by Gartner Inc. in the Niche Players quadrant of the Magic Quadrant for Endpoint Protection Platforms1, published on August 20, 2019.

The report evaluates 20 vendors. Gartner’s evaluation was based on the ability to execute and the completeness of vision.

“This is our 12th inclusion in the Magic Quadrant for Endpoint Protection Platforms report. We believe this is further proof that we keep delivering on our mission to provide maximum protection with transparency and simplicity. We led some of the most important trends in this market, with our cloud-native, integrated approach of EPP, EDR capabilities fusioned with services which ensure endpoints are hardened against untrusted applications. We will continue working to drive the next wave of innovation, bringing highly automated analytics to protect against the newest threats with flexibility and usability, at an unparalleled TCO”, said Juan Santamaria, CEO of Panda Security.

According to the report, “this is a transformative period for the EPP market, and as the market has changed, so has the analysis profile used for this research. In the 2019 Magic Quadrant for Endpoint Protection Platforms, capabilities traditionally found in the endpoint detection and response (EDR) market are now considered core components of an EPP that can address and respond to modern threats.”1 Together with Adaptive Defense 360, the recently released Cytomic Orion solution brings unique EDR capabilities to leverage 12-month enriched telemetry and real-time behavior analysis aimed at SOCs and large enterprises. “As modern threats, even not relying on malware, can remain undetected for months, it is important to provide full visibility for long periods of time, where all data is always readily available to be analyzed. Our customers have now direct access to it, to run their own investigations and rules, in a manner that is unique in the industry”, added Juan Santamaría. The new solutions build up on the capabilities and success of Adaptive Defense 360 which, as of 27 August 2019, has a Gartner Peer Insights Overall Rating of 4.6 (out of 5.0) in the Endpoint Detection and Response market, based on 153 ratings, and the same rating in the Endpoint Protection Platforms market, based on 262 reviews.
