Permissions required to enable the Panda protection in macOS

This article explains how to enable the permissions required by Apple to ensure the correct functioning of the Panda protection in macOS. We have used Adaptive Defense 360 to illustrate the procedure.
Attention!
These steps are critical for the Panda macOS protection to work correctly.
When you run the installation file on your macOS device, you will be prompted with messages to enable these permissions:
  • System Extension and Login Items for EndpointProtectionService
  • Full Disk Access for Protection Agent
  • NextLoader for Network Extension
To learn how to do so, check the permissions below according to your macOS version.

Allow EndpointProtectionService from Login Items (macOS Ventura 13 or higher)
  1. Select the Allow EndpointProtectionService button from the warning message.

  2. Enable the EndpointProtectionService.app toggle.

Allow System Extension permission (macOS 10.15 Catalina or higher)
  1. Open your product and select the Open Security Preferences panel button.

  2. Select the Allow button under the message System software from application Endpoint ProtectionService was blocked from loading.



    In macOS 10.15 Catalina, select the Click the lock to make changes option before you click the Allow button.
  3. Enter your user password.

Allow Full Disk Access permission for Endpoint Protection Service
  1. Open your product and select the Open hard disk access preferences button.

  2. Select Protection Agent Service and enable the toggle.

  3. A new window will open requesting to reopen the app to apply changes. Select the Quit & Reopen button.

Allow NextLoader Network Extension (macOS 10.15 Catalina or higher)
  1. Select the Open Security Preferences panel button.

  2. Select the Open System Settings button.

  3. Click the Allow button.

  4. Select the Allow button in the Filter Network Content window.

  5. The protection is now enabled.
MacOS Legacy Systems
In macOS Mojave 10.14 or earlier with legacy protection v2.00.10.0000, you must follow these steps to allow the Panda protection Kernel Extension.
  1. Select OK when you get the System Extension Blocked message or select the Open System Preferences button.

  2. From System Preferences, select Security & Privacy.

  3. Select Click the lock to make changes.

  4. Select the Allow button next to System software from developer "Panda Security" was blocked from loading.
