Error Event 2011 in the event viewer when accessing shared folders after installing Endpoint Protection

Situation

After installing Endpoint Protection, even without the firewallprotection, the following symptoms occur:

• Cannot access shared folders from the computer.
• Errors occur in the System section of the event viewer. The errors have Event ID 2011 and an error in the irpstacksize parameter as illustrated in the following image:
  
  
  

Solution

This problem is known to Microsoft and is resolved by editing the value of the IRPstacksize parameter in the Windows registry. Refer to the following article for more details on the solution:
