E-eliminator is an adware type malware that modifies the start page and the search page of Internet Explorer.
In the modified start page, some user data is displayed, such as IP address, ISP (Internet Service Provider), country of origin, Internet browser, operating system of the computer, etc. However, some compromising, but false data can also be included, such as keywords of sexual content that have been supposedly logged.
That start page is aimed to create a feeling of insecurity and threat to the users' privacy, that induces them to purchase an specific program, which is supposed to protect the affected users against such threat.
E-eliminator is installed in the affected computer when visiting adult content or illegal software websites.
