Dodgy is a boot virus that infects the boot sector of floppy disks and hard disks. Three months after carrying out its infection or when the user runs a file with a RAV extension, Dodgy shows a message on screen and deletes all the files on the hard disk.
This virus does not do anything while the user of the affected computer is working with Windows, but when the user exits this program; it will carry out its actions.
Dodgy infects the hard disk of a computer when it is booted from a floppy disk infected with this virus. From then on, it will infect all of the floppy disks used and the infected computer will have problems starting up.
Dodgy displays the following message on screen: RAVage is wiping data! RP&muRPhy
Then it deletes all of the files that it finds on the hard disk.
