Worms belonging to the Gaobot family use several methods in order to spread to other computers. Some of those methods include downloading a file belonging to a variant of the Gaobot worm to a specific folder in a remote computer. Then, this file is run, thus installing the worm.
Gaobot.batch is a batch file that deletes the original file of the Gaobot worm, once this is installed in the computer.
Gaobot.batch is dropped by the Gaobot worm that has affected the computer.
Gaobot.batch is difficult to recognize, as it does not display any messages or warnings that indicate it has reached the computer.
