EZones.A is a Trojan that modifies the list of trusted and restricted sites in Internet Explorer.
EZones.A adds the site greg-search.com to the list of trusted sites. On the other hand, it adds several adult and pornographic sites and IP addresses to the list of restricted sites, thus preventing the user from accessing them.
EZones.A does not spread automatically using its own means. It needs an attacking user's intervention in order to reach the affected computer. The means of transmission used include, among others, floppy disks, CD-ROMs, e-mail messages with attached files, Internet downloads, FTP, IRC channels, peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing networks, etc.
EZones.A is difficult to recognize, as it does not display any messages or warnings that indicate it has reached the computer.
